This illustrated children's picture book is meant to be enjoyed and appreciated by the young and old alike. This story introduces us to the characters of Purrlina Sassypants and Purrciful Maximus Pouncypants. With any introduction, we learn about who these characters are and adversities they may face in life. This story was born out of love as a memorial for those who surround me and have suffered the loss of a fur baby. Your fur babies live on as they inspired the main character names. I hope this helps heal some of their pain. My sincerest wish is that families will latch on to this illustrated story as an opportunity to read, share, and learn together. You may not be able to do that in person per se these days in the Age of COVID, but you can utilize communication tools to read, share and learn together virtually. Adults can read thru ahead of time and come up with voice infections and facial expressions at various stopping points in the story line. What a wonderful way to make words and pictures come to greater life! The days of old when Moms and Pops read together with their children at night, at bedtime, has given way to an age of disconnection and replacement with video games, texting, and social media. It's never too late to reconnect and create lasting memories!
