Gwen Short knew from a young age she was meant to do great things. Working hard to save every animal she came into contact with she was able to start her own rescue adoption center called Pets on the Pier. In the great location of Pike Street Public Market in beautiful Seattle Washington, she has an exciting location to find the perfect families, and even more exciting opportunities to rescue those in need. From dog fight clubs to apartments fires, even a daring rescue over 500 feet in the sky. She will stop at no length to save these precious cats and dogs. but when her love life grows suddenly ice cold, and one of her precious rescues disappears in a break in, Gwen finds her self trapped as she turns to her best friend for guidance and help, she is determined to find her lost dog and stand on her own two feet for good.
