It was to be a simple peek a boo mission. A series of specially built garages built in a motor pool with a specially constructed roof to not allow satellites to penetrate its contents. Not far from Saint Petersburg Russia, it was decided to send a couple of Casuals' from the Tenth SF to investigate. Go over the fence and take a look then come back. This would have been simple enough. The Casuals were members of the Tenth but not fully trained like traditional Special Forces people. It was a cost savings measure and the fact that these men all had special talents but not old enough, citizens, or highly educated kept them from becoming one of the best. The mission started off well, Captain Dennison leading the group of three; Eden and Nichols being privates were just an extra hand. But once they arrive in Sundsvall Sweden, the profilers pull the Captain out and send him home. Now it's Eden and Nichols who need rescuing, but as luck would have it they are put on the journey to continue the mission. Ambushed at a safe house just before leaving for Helsinki the two are drifting along being carried on by people they don't know. In Helsinki Eden and Nichols come into contact with Leif's underground anti- Russian organization that's been spreading leaflets of anti-Soviet influence within the country. Major Simms wants his men back so he goes after them making contact with Anderson of the CIA in the Consulate Generals office in Hamburg Germany. Lotka who works in the Helsinki office also is recruited and it is discovered that the operation the three SF men were on was being run by a double agent who is tracking them to find out who is involved in the over the fence operations by the Americans. Then there's Laura, a woman Eden begins a relationship with back in Boston.
