This book continues the adventures of Carlton Russell. CR escapes from Fairfax, Virginia to head down to the Outer Banks, North Carolina to help his friend Roger Bennett with a little problem which soon turns into a big problem. CR has to wrestle between trying to figure out who is murdering Roger's investors while dealing with Natalie, CR's on again, off again girlfriend and her crazy antics. CR soon realizes being on vacation is sometimes more deadly than working from home. However, another murder, an irate police Lieutenant and a comely caterer, as well as the other houseguests soon turn the idyllic ocean-front house in the Outer Banks into a chaotic puzzle CR has to solve before it puts him six feet under.
