Set in an alternative reality George Thorne is a young man of 19 years of age whose body is ripped apart by a shell in the first World War, they manage to save him but with that comes a very high cost, both his legs and and arm he is badly scarred and has lost the will to live, he goes to live with his Brother Oliver and Oliver's wife Sophia who is a paraphiliac they start a steamy affair while Oliver tries to convince George not to commit suicide he fails in his task so enlists a plan in which he can be reincarnated so he can remember who he is and this time live a long and fruitful life however things don't always go as planned do they ?
