In the summer of 1947, something crashed north of Roswell, New Mexico. The events there have been confused over the past seventy years, but what happened is important enough the Air Force continues a misinformation campaign to obscure the event. Years later, the government and military still do not understand the importance of the crash, that it is a nexus in time and space upon which history pivots. It is the first volley in a war to determine the future of all humanity. Air Force Major Jesse Marcel and rancher Mac Brazel find themselves caught up in an affair that swirls science, the government, and the military into a life changing and life-threatening ordeal beyond anyone's plans or imagination. Is the bond of friendship and mutual support between these two very different men enough to save themselves, their families, and, in the end, even history itself?
