The second instalment of the series explores the African identity in poetry. In an attempt create a new identity based on collective oneness and unity of all African citizens. The poems paint a visual picture by detailing themes of brutality by the colonizers, who have attempted to make Africa a desolate continent. Misinformation of how Africa is perceived as a country in Western civilization, while at the same time the history of apartheid and genocides has created segregation. Accountability and transparency are crucial in addressing the corruption that has plagued the African continent. At the core of African Poetry in E-Motion, is how unity and putting God first will help the continent to realize its full potential. More than ever before, Africa is seen as a vital continent in advancing the discourse of what love, hope and faith looks like when people are united, regardless of a painful history.
