Being trapped by fear, shame and guilt is exhausting and beyond frustrating. Carrying those same emotions into adulthood and allowing them to keep you trapped, albeit in different experiences with a different cast, brings even more sadness and pain. It takes time and courage to face the darkness that follows you around and keeps you prisoner. 'Escaping Bohemia' is Sophia's journey back into the past, as she journals her memories as they come back to her one at a time, sometimes painfully slow and full of anguish. Reliving events that she had hidden deep within herself when she thought that she had escaped a traumatic childhood. Through this process of allowing these memories to resurface, she realised that she had not escaped the darkness of her childhood, until this point, as she shares them with you, in the hope of offering hope and encouragement, as she sheds the shame and guilt.
