Dr. Van Erickson spent the latter half of his life trapped in a dimension other than his own. Where he's from, sasquatches were not urban legends. They were intelligent and part of society. Erickson researched the ancient ritual of his fellow sasquatches. And via this "Moondance," he discovered the power of trans-dimensional travel. But upon arrival, the government agency known as The Department snatched him up. He spent the next several years as The Department's muscle. Then later, he was forced to teach agents this trans-dimensional travel while stuck in the control room. Now that he's retired, he's finally given the chance to return home.
