... A Random Act of Violence... Friday, November 13,1931 dawned cold and grey. In those early morning hours two hunters were walking a logging road in the deep woods of Northern New Hampshire when they came upon a grizzly scene. A sedan was parked in a clearing; lts' left rear door was open. There were two men, both dead with large gaping wounds in their torsos; one in the driver's seat, the other lying face down on the ground near the car... Law Enforcement was called in from Berlin, the nearest City. Police were quick with their opinion of the event, calling it a Murder/Suicide... Despite much speculation and disagreement from observers at the scene, the Police held firm with their account of the incident and adamantly refused further investigation, leaving two shattered families and a grieving town with no answers...
