Muddy is the second book of a trilogy telling the story of life in south west Kerry in the first half of the 20th century. This book covers the period from 1924 until 1937. The story is centered around a simple man who lives in a village called Kells Bay. His life is full of tragedy and yet he struggles on to keep from slipping into a dark place. The story of Muddy is full of sadness and joy with funny moments at a time of poverty and suffering.
