The Fox Millennium is about 1000 years of family history and survival through wars and plagues. It is a documented historical narrative centered about one family named after foxes (Volpi), having originated in Italy and since largely becoming rooted in the United States and Canada. The author, Alexander DeVolpi, as scion of the family, has written this (and other) accounts of the family's origins and settlement in North America. Besides providing details about the author's upbringing, education, and professional career, this book also delves into his father's (Bonaventura) wild history and amazing military career, which included soldiering when the wild West was opened up and with the U. S. Army in the Philippines, where he became a highly decorated top sergeant, and later as a soldier of fortune going into World War I, fighting with the Canadian Princess Pats regiment in France. The best way to convey the book's contents is to take a look at the Chapters and their contents; THE FOX MILLENNIUMby A. Having thoroughly researched biographical details about his father's achievements and liasons, he became well informed about his father's mysterious history. career and missteps. In addition, this book relates some information about modern arms control, such that the author's nuclear education and career in research and technology makes him especially qualified to report on nuclear weaponization and international proliferation. The author himself became actively involved in local, national, and international politics.
