Evolution of a Depressed Poet Ashley Schilling
Evolution of a Depressed Poet
Ashley Schilling
A book of poetry written over the span of 15 years, with stories about why the poems were written. The poems touch on themes of depression, love, and self-exploration. Some of these poems were written through suicidal feelings and ideologies. Some through newfound loves, and breakups, both as a teenager and an adult. And some were written through times of self-doubt, and the questioning of the general world around the author. While these poems were never written with the intention of publishing, the author hopes that in doing so, they may help someone else learn and cope in an ever changing world.
