Layla and Her Friends Lisa Gu

Anna and Lisa, talented authors and illustrators of 11 years old, are identical twins born in Shanghai, China. They moved to Allen, TX at five, completed fifth grade from Imagine International Academy of North Texas and are going to sixth grade in fall. As animal lovers, each of them started writing a chapter book about a dog in third grade. In three years, they each completed three books including all the illustrations and cover designs. Each of them are writing two series, one of animals and one of their mother's cancer journey from the perspective of Layla, their dog. In the first book of Paws and Tails series, Layla experienced adventurous journeys such as escaping from robbers, drowning in the ocean, saving a canary egg during an earthquake, and running away from her enemies, etc. Enjoy the stories!
