This is second in a series about my great grandfather, a famous botanist and his family. In the first, Through Time's Looking Glass: A Day Well Spent, I take a step backwards to spend several springs and summers of the early 1900s in Illinois with them as a child. In this they start coming south with family to winter with us in Florida. But both books are also nature essays embellished with many illustrations.
