Kristin Ryling
Mnemes is the complete anthology of poems written by Kristin Ryling. It encompasses a time span of forty years, from 1980 through 2020. Kristin is primarily know as a sound poet. Her poems are visual, abstract, lyrical and complex. She has worked for many years as a synthetic poet, one who collects words for alliteration, cadence, mirroring and tabor, rather than strictly to facilitate confessional or emotive poetry. Her poems often are intended to be suggestive, providing a cue or prompt to be filled in by the reader's personal interpretation and imagination, there by offering a more symbolic interplay between writer and reader, allowing the reader to become a kind of writer participant.
