I have taken a few liberties with facts and names here because after all, just how good is a woman's memory after half a century and menopause? Still, I can honestly say that this is a pretty accurate description of the times. It is mostly non-fiction with some name changes. And, it really, really does depict the way it was, in my neighborhood, in my hometown, in 1966.
