This book by Kintto Lucas brings together stories of nostalgia, stories of loneliness, stories of memories, stories of love, stories of illusions. From a particular way of narrating, the author presents short stories about the fight for life, recreates the magic of love; pierces the pain and joy of memory; go through the dream and the nightmare; and it takes us on a journey of encounters, reunions, loves and solitudes, between rain, fire and ashes, as if we knew that "one is always alone, but sometimes one is more alone", as Idea Vilariño says. Most of the stories were written in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Some appeared in the "Scheherazade" column, which the author kept in the "Domingo" magazine of the Hoy newspaper in Quito, others are unpublished.
