Based on the ability to create direct and indirect benefits, technology and data protection have been placed at the epicenter of social and economic development. Grounded in a new driving force - personal data - privacy was included at a crossroads: becoming a rigid obstacle to the tech innovation or be adapted to a new economic reality aiming to enable social gains. Although this process has been marked by significant information asymmetry, the fact is that personal data and privacy have become the engine of what has been called the data driven economy, which is known by the ability to self-generate wealth from technological tools such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, internet of things and blockchain. In other words, an economic development model built by the technological and informational power of those who have control over data. For this reason, this book will analyze the resizing of instruments of pluralism and transparency as the foundation of a hybrid and contextual regulatory model, which will be called Lex Privacy.
