With a gift for some of the more esoteric blood paths, Anika and Jena are forced to head to France to learn Blood Clerisy from Miranda, the master of the blood path magic herself. However, living in the Menagerie with the master of Illusions is not all it seems, especially when the eldest of the Lilithians has an agenda of her own. Miranda has been searching for over 500 years for a way to find the Antediluvians, the original thirteen Lilithians that the houses are named after. She believes that if she can bring them back to life, Lilithians will have the power they need to regain their power in society.
