In 1985, former Webb County Dep. Sheriff Ronald Sims assisted the former Corpus Christi Police Chief to form a fraternal organization called the Blue Knights. This group tasked itself to assist CCPD's Internal Affairs Division to weed out bad or corrupt cops to keep the department free of such issues. However in 2005, Police Chief Ronald Sims began embezzling funds from the department for reasons no one knew. During that dark time, Mayor Brent Blakemore asked Ingleside Dep. Chief Jennifer Moran Vaughn to come across the bay as Corpus Christi's current police chief. in an effort to derail this new chief's efforts to weed out corruption and the ongoing embezzlement, Ron Sim ran and won a city council seat. He maintained an outsider like Jennifer Vaughn had no business running the police department. Now, ten years later, that fraternal order of police, the Blue Knights, became Sims' enforcement arm to continue the efforts to thwart Chief Vaughn's administration of CCPD. But they evolved into the very corruption this order sought to eliminate twenty-five years prior. As a shooting investigation begins and more harassment from Sims mounts, Jennifer request her husband Jason and Task Force Corpus Christi to assist other law enforcement organizations, end the terror that the Blue Knights, continue to against the city they love. But Jennifer soon discovers one of the federal moles, brought this case to the FBI, and planned on assisting her from the shadows.
