This book was written while attending Amridge University, (Turner School of Theology) as a student the year of 2006. I was a Master of Divinity student taught by one of the instructors named Dr. Demar Elam. The title of his course was, 'The Minister and the Congregation.' I was also a young pastor at the time and was using every opportunity to learn from anointed leaders who would help to guide me. Believe me, Dr. Elam was one of them. In this course, students had to learn 21 characteristics and/or duties of the Pastor and were assigned a research paper to write about this topic. In addition, we were to locate two pastors who had over 10 years of experience and interview them. This was a part of my assignment. Because, my passion for learning was so precious, I recorded all of my notes and formed this book. The information on the inside of this book is priceless. It would truly teach every Church leader everything they need to know to become an effective leader, just as a live MEGA CONFERENCE. As a matter of fact, this is better. I give thanks to Bishop Anderson Mahan & Dr./Pastor Bernice Mahan for participating in my interview. They have been pastoring, mentoring and leading souls to Jesus Christ now for over 40 years. I also appreciate and honor the late Apostle Romus Ray Simpson who also participated. His ministry, counsel and Words of Power and Praise will never be forgotten. Pastoral Leadership will train new or refresh experienced pastors about Church Management. You will learn interpersonal communication and how to effectively utilize your skills to grow your church congregation and render duties for different services. The characteristics and qualities of the pastor are also mentioned and discussed. This book is very detailed and is a guide to have handy whenever any challenges or insecurities may arise. My prayer is that you continue to grow in the love of Jesus Christ, Divine Leadership and to lead God's people by example.
