Ben Avad is just a regular college student, except for the fact that his father murdered seven people.


When Ben is approached to write a book about what it's like to be the son of an infamous killer, he quickly comes to the conclusion that it's not him that anybody wants to know about; it's his father.


Ben recruits the help of his Uncle Theo, and the two of them venture on a road trip to help Ben better understand who his father really is, and where he came from.

Junior Avad, Ben's father, is currently sitting in prison. As far as Ben knew, that prison was supposed to be the last stop on the trip. But Theo was driving, and sometimes plans change.

Will Ben and Theo's stop in the big city be the end, not just of their trip, but of their lives? Will Ben make it to the prison to visit his father? And who, exactly, is Uncle Theo really?
