The blockade which brought Joint Base Lackland to a standstill has been lifted, and not a moment too soon. Mayor Al was officially discharged from the hospital several days before and was itching to get back home again. So was his entourage, and their friends in Eden and Junction were joyously awaiting the group's return. That group wasn't the only one on the move, though. In North Texas Frank, Josie and Eddie were slowly making their way toward the mine. Their trip was a lot more difficult, though, as they had to shove three feet of snow pack off the road in front of them. There was another factor they faced as well. Johnny Connolly had made up his mind he was going to kill the trio. He was just biding his time, waiting for the right opportunity. Johnny wasn't the smartest marble in the bag, and his schemes seldom went as planned. But a good man was getting ready to die, and would be left alone to draw his last breath on a lonely frozen highway.
