God Still Speaks Charmaine Maria Simmons

It was in 2015 that my calling as a poet came into being, and it was a complete coincidence. As a preacher in my own right, I was not foreign to writing Biblical messages. However, it was while helping my granddaughter enter a poetry-writing contest that I was compelled to enter the contest myself by submitting the first poem of this book. The poet was born! From that point on, I just couldn't stop writing poems as the Holy Spirit led. Poems within God Still Speaks come from my own spiritual journey with Christ over the past 37 years, and was influenced my by joys and sorrows, triumphs and pains, let downs and disappointments. They are prophetic, evangelistic messages that exhort as well as reprove. The words within these pages will challenge, encourage, comfort and offer poetic warnings. They have a style of their own, birthed from the treasures buried deep within my soul.
