After a grueling battle with the Sluguardians, Mark arrives in Gerdia with an army of weary troops. Now they march to Lochem where Mark secures the aid of the castle's ruler. With his army strengthened by additional troops, his confidence for victory grows. Yet his thoughts stray to Orrenda. Merek's troops are swarming through the country, and Marisa is trapped in their midst. Farther south at Castle Tredel, Lord Merek has troubles of his own. The Gerdian people have grown restless under his harsh rule. Now he plans to host a grand tournament to distract them and reinforce his status as ruler of Gerdia. With all of Gerdia gathered at Tredel, can Mark regain the throne, or will this final battle cost him everything?
