"No servant is above His Master" (John 15:20). Jesus went through excruciating suffering. My life is a poignant illustration of how it COSTS us something to serve the Lord! However, if we "humble ourselves under the Mighty hand of God, He will exalt us in due time" (I Peter 5:6). I've gone through suffering and hardship, including attempted suicide, single parenthood, a broken marriage, and even imprisonment on the way to the Promised Land. However, God's grace and mercy carried me through and propelled me into my destiny!
