Risho, a boy with autism, and Kaia, his sister, find that their magical and powerful flower that holds The Seed of Imagination has been stolen from their room. They embark on a perilous journey to find it, traveling the ocean to faraway lands to search for information and clues of its whereabouts. During their journey, they experience great adventures, encounter challenges and battles, conquer fears, and make new friends. When they discover that their flower is being heavily guarded by the evil magician at the Drummer's Cave, they realize that magical beings, dragons, and wit will be necessary to recover it. Written from the main character's point of view, RIsho, the boy with autism, the book at times takes the reader inside his head, and it's a wondrous place. He makes the reader think his thoughts and feel his emotions, helping to live and experience the world through his eyes delivering a powerful message gently. The interactive discussion questions at the end of each chapter allows the reader to reflect upon their own self discovery, help support and befriend a boy/girl in the autism spectrum, and understand, love and accept each and everyone's unique qualities."This book is fantastic, and has a great sense of imagination.
