A young man returns to West Texas after eight years in the army to take over the family ranch he has inherited. Almost immediately he becomes a target of an assassination attempt. He suspects his older half-brother, owner of a much larger neighboring ranch, whom he believes was behind an attempt eight years earlier to have him falsely accused of assault. Robert Bradford must take action to saves himself and the Parker Ranch. He hires a lawyer, Liz Roxbury to help him fight his legal battles, and Hawkins Security to help him do what he knows best, combat against hidden enemies. It all plays out in the wild canyons of the Devil's River with a surprise no one saw coming.
