My goal with Lessons For Your Lunchbox is to run head-on into the reader who is short on time, long on pressure and in need of a brief encounter to bring meaning to their motivations. Lessons for your Lunchbox will remind you of your coach's chat before the big game, your mother nudging you to "give it another try" or your dad simply saying, "I believe in you." I think the most cherished response to my writing came from on of my peers: "Dear Stephen, For a long time I've been meaning to write you this short letter of thanks for the columns you write in the local paper. Last Saturday's "Never Too Old for the River of Life," was just the latest article that gave me much material for personal reflection.
