Take the Bodies, Leave Only Footprints Buck Randall, Head Ranger at Grand Canyon National Park, keeps finding bodies floating down the Colorado River, many ending up at the foot of Bright Angel Trail. Where are they coming from and who's responsible for their deaths? Bordeau and Bristol are requested by the Park Superintendent to assist Buck find the culprit who appears to be tossing people off the rim of the inner gorge. Lonesome Eagle is their first suspect, a descendent of the ancient Anasazi who once lived at Grand Canyon. His wife and son recently died and while recovering from his loss takes refuge in a cave overlooking the incredible scenery of Grand Canyon near Hance Creek. He's discovered by Bordeau and arrested for camping without a permit and suspicion of murdering visitors to the Park. Is Lonesome Eagle guilty of pushing people to their deaths to protect the secret location of his refuge in the rocks? Or, is something more sinister going on?
