They range from famous (Abigail Adams, Molly Pitcher, Martha Washington) to fairly obscure (Experience Bozarth, Behethland Foote Butler, Dicey Langston). They filled many roles, most of which weren't "proper" for ladies of the 17th century, including nurses, solders, spies, authors and fundraisers.
