In the reprint of Tales of Mystery and Imagination in 1919, Harry Clarke created the twenty-four monochrome images collected in this book that perhaps evoked the delirious claustrophobia and frightening inventiveness of "Poe-land" the finest. Each unique illustration has a quote and the story title from which it came from.
