Spare Parts: What Two Brothers Taught Me About Family
Mark Clay Unbehagen
Vernon and Clayton Unbehagen were born in New Orleans in 1920 and 1922. Their life journeys took them many places, but they remained by each other's side through it all. Spare Parts is a collection of stories about spare parts: pieces of their and our lives that make up the whole. The writings were inspired by the story of a World War II Airplane, and the gifts that the brothers had for caring for one another and their loved ones; especially through creative reuse of many, many, many miscellaneous spare parts.
