Most beautiful human being, thank you for your time, long last a book of poetry from the owl at peak of prime. As time doth change the human, in hope 'tis for the better, we'll take a pew and set the view, 'tis time to read 'The Letter'. How lovely to hear a short verse, words that flow freely merging one to another. I have always loved the spoken language of my native tongue, good old English, many forms, differing dialects from one village to another. But it's the free flow of poetry that is my true passion, I have no idea where it comes from, yet I am so very grateful for this seemingly bottomless pit of verse. Within this book sits a rather diverse although eclectic mix of, perhaps, knowledgeable poetry? Guidance like and maybe even posing a touch of wisdom? That, my lovely human, is for you to discover should you so choose to do so. Oh peaceful mind, what do you find?Oh peaceful heart, where do I start?Oh peaceful torso, ascension how so?Oh peaceful spirit, so long to will it!Oh peaceful soul, once dark as coal. Oh peaceful creation, leave not one stranded at the station. Oh peaceful night, oh peaceful day, oh peaceful time, I'm so very glad you didn't pass me by. It has been a truly amazing life, and the completion of my first book of poetry will see myself realise one of my many dreams coming to fruition. Thank you for your interest, and I do hope that the poems within this book resonate with you. Peace and love for the rest of our journey. Steve Appleyard.
