I am the middle child of three other siblings. At the age of two my mother and father separated and went to live with my grandmother in a small country town on a farm. They didn't have a lot of stores to shop and we had to get a ride or walk to a store. We didn't have a lot of money or transportation but we had Jesus and that was enough. My mother had two jobs and she walked to work. My grandmother always told us that things would get better. She was a praying grandmother and her prayers were so strong. We knew when she prayed something was going to happen. I learn to be thankful for the things I had whether great or small. One day she started getting sick and we had to accept the fact that she was no longer going to be with us. Tragedies just kept coming. Sometimes, I thought God had forgotten about me but he didn't. His timing was not my time but he showed up when I needed him the most. It started with my sister-in-law, son, husband, and grandmother. All these people were so dear to me. I thought my life was over and I almost gave up until one day God let me know after all the pain and suffering, there is joy. I had to get to a point in my life where I fully trust and believe in him. I had so many dark days but he gave me peace in the midst of my storms. Today, I can say that I made it and he keeps blessing me over and over again. He let me know that he will never leave nor forsake me. He had a purpose for everything I went through in life. When I stop listening to people and focused on him, I begin to accept the things I couldn't change and move forward to face reality.
