Among Women: Four very different women whose lives cause them to reflect upon the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Their stories intertwine and, as things unfold, they must each look for hope as Mary did. Mareshka works in a nightclub and mourns the loss of her son. Moira is a nurse whose pilgrimage to Lourdes will be a little different this year. Maureen has to share the affections of her son with everyone. Maria is an elderly religious sister waiting in hope. Through their personal journey, at times moving and at times humorous, we catch glimpses of she that is Blessed Among Women. The Pilgrimage: Need a faith lift? Five searching souls end up on a pilgrimage to Lourdes, France, home of the most famous Marian Shrine in Europe. A businesswoman; a grandmother; a priest; and two teenagers. All of them are in need of healing but perhaps the miracle that they experience is not the one they foresaw. This unique volume contains two powerful, engaging dramas united by the playwright's own devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
