Dr. Md. Safdare Azam was born at Tanda, District Ambedkar Nagar of Uttar Pradesh State. He pursued his Undergraduate and Post-graduate degree in Geology from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. From the same University he also got M. Phil and Ph. D degrees in Geology. He earned Gold Medal from securing First position at Graduation level. He stated his career as Lecturer/ Assistant Professor in the Department of Geology, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh. He served at Department Geology, AMU, Aligarh till May 15, 2011. Dr. Md. Safdare Azam joined Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi as Assistant Regional Director (ARD) on May 19, 2011. He served as ARD at IGNOU Regional Centre, Srinagar, Kashmir (J& K), Saharsa (Bihar) and Aligarh (UP). Presently, he is working as Regional Director (I/C), IGNOU, Regional Centre, Aligarh (UP). Dr. Md. Safdare Azam has several National and International research publications in his credit.
