Evie and Nate join their close friends, John and Anna, for a night of joyriding and partying. However, the night does not progress exactly the way they expect. Instead, they have an automobile accident involving a buck and end up in a pile of debris on a steep mountainside. Trying to walk their way to civilization, the summer heat and lack of supplies leave them feeling helpless. After a full day's journey, they still see no signs of life: no traffic, no towns, no lone houses, nothing. A shadowy figure in the distance through the darkness catches Evie's attention. Anna, without waiting for anyone's approval, chases after the figure in hopes of finding help. Before long, the group finds themselves trapped in underground chambers, much like animal traps. An ominous presence makes itself known, periodically, in the form of glowing red eyes through the thick darkness. The heat is unbearable and overwhelming to the point that they begin to hallucinate, or do they? What is this place? How will they escape? Are the hallucinations real? Some will find out sooner than others.
