A group of five RV couples, all strangers, find themselves isolated in Baja California by a monster storm and the Big One earthquake. Led by an old, reluctant, anti social Steve Quinn, the group fights off bandito attacks, broken RVs, lack of supplies, each other and constantly, an old broken road on the their escape north. Some survive, some don't but everyone suffers and is a changed person when they finally arrive to safety in La Paz.
