Orlando Innamorato (or Orlando in Love) is an epic poem written by Matteo Maria Boiardo, an Italian Renaissance author, and later rewritten by Francesco Berni.
While the plot borrow many elements from Arthurian stories, it focuses primarily on Orlando, a knight who becomes enamored by the beautiful Angelica. All of this takes place during the time of Charlemagne.
