However, until now, there has never been a Cherokee version of this beloved story. In this story, Kawoni faces her fears and journeys across the mountain to deliver a basket of food to her sick grandmother. On the journey, she meets legendary Cherokee animals that help guide her on the path. Readers are also introduced to some basic Cherokee words and phrases along the way.
