A collection of poems written over the years, from the view of troubled child now grown into a man with mental illness. This collection explores the duality of life, love, passion, desire, failure, frustration, anger, depression, mental illness, sleep disorders, and the very quintessence of the human experience. Some of these poems were written when I was a homeless teenager, others written while I was married with three children, and others still during and after rehab and divorce. They are finite expressions of loss and pain and my personal views on the world around me as seen through the tinted glasses through which I experience them. My heart has been poured into this collection, and I hope that it will reach others and perhaps even provide new perspectives.
