Asma Elgouacem
The author, Asma Elgouacem, grew up in civil unrest most of her childhood and motherhood. In 2019, a new movement brought back memories of the past, but for the first time in a long time, Algerians are not silent. They want a radical change of the military regime since independence. This book is a representation of powerful images and slogans of the Algerian history and current events. In this book, the author compiled a collection of striking images of the demonstrations and translated the phrases and slogans, written on banners, cardboards, and posters into three different languages. Since February 22, 2019, Algerians have begun a new peaceful revolution, hoping to remove the old regime and build a democratic system based on justice and freedom.
