This book includes many sketches and some COLOR pictures. It provides examples and suggestions to help parents teach their child to swim by progressing through three phases [1] Moving in water, [2] Swimming in water, and [3] Swimming fast!

Part 1, moving in water, is the focus of this book. It includes activities a parent can do to help a child become comfortable and safe in the water. Any child who feel comfortable in the water will enjoy it and that is the foundation of a good swimmer. This is an important first step for any child.

Part 2, swimming in the water, is briefly discussed. Standard swim lessons are offered at most swimming pools and provide an excellent way for a child to learn proper swimming techniques.

Part 3, swimming fast, describes the progression of a child from a good swimmer to a great swimmer. Parents of young children who demonstrate some skill in and a passion for swimming, will appreciate the suggestions included in Part 3.

This book includes many sketches by the author and colored photographs of her own son.
