Angel First Class Abraham Noonan is ready for his next assignment. At least, he thinks he is. Abraham has three days to prevent an apocalypse. There's an ancient band of demons called the scourge that are planning to escape from the dimension where they have been imprisoned since the beginning of time and a prophecy that says the only way to stop them is to destroy the vessel they plan to use to bridge the gap between their world and ours. The problem is destroying the vessel involves destroying an innocent young girl. The girl is an art student living in Paris. Under the scourge's influence, the young artist paints a series of horrific pictures depicting the end of the world. Once all the paintings have been completed, it will signal the beginning of the end of days. The paintings hold the key to stopping the scourge and Abraham must decipher the clues and find a way to prevent the apocalypse as well as save an innocent girl. It seems an impossible task since he is reminded often that the prophecy is clear... the vessel must be destroyed. Time is running out. Unless he can find an alternate solution, one in which the girl can be saved, Abraham will be forced to decide if saving one life is worth the risk of letting billions die. Worst of all, he knows that if he fails, he must be the one to look her in the eye and deliver the death blow.
