Writing has always been a cathartic experience to express the most intriguing parts of me; however, this is the first time I'm sharing them publicly. While I usually share my poems with close friends and family only, I decided to take my own advice from this collection in particular and to embody in one more way the idea of loving and living life wildly! I came to start writing as a child and then as a performer my extensive training in Shakespeare began to influence my style in regards to cadence and punctuation. My poems are intended to be read aloud and thus shared. As a professional artist, my life has been full of interesting experiences - both good, bad and everywhere in between - but full of lessons guaranteed. So this small collection in particular I would like to dedicate to those who's hearts are broken, mending, reawakening, or yearning. There's comfort in knowing that loss is followed by the rebuilding process and something I've personally found is that when it comes to love - whether it's something HUGE or something "small" others may not even register - the experience still feels the same. There's always lessons to learn when it comes to loving. BIOMaria is a performer, producer, entrepreneur, writer and multi-dimensional artist. Her second collection of poetry is set to be released in spring of 2021 followed by her debut novel, "The Making Of A BadAss: An Artist's Spiritual Journey."
