Three Thousand Years on the Frontier George Parris
Three Thousand Years on the Frontier
George Parris
This is the 5th Book in this series. It focuses on two generations of Pearis/Parris/Paris families between 1776 and 1800 in South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Richard Pearis and his son were Loyalists and his older brother George and his sons were a Patriots. All were participants in the civil war that embroiled the American southeast between 1770 and 1790. In the end, the British were exhausted and conceded the independence of their colonies and recognized each colony as a sovereign state. Those states then formed a federal government to facilitate cooperation against foreign (European) interference and to facilitate westward expansion.
