Kneeling down behind the stage backdrop, just minutes before the Miss Yuma County 2010 competition, I prayed to Jesus. "Jesus, if it's your will to let me win, I will give glory to you all the way. If I don't win, bless the other girls and whoever you've chosen to win." An hour later the winner was announced and my name was called.
