This booklet is a memoir, with 18 accompanying colorful photos, of my adventurous trip to Egypt, including a weeklong riverboat trip down the Nile, stopping at various touring sites, like Luxor, Valley of the Kings, Esna, and Aswan. I found the Egyptians friendlier than anticipated, the Giza Pyramids and Sphinx more commercial than I'd imagined, the Nile cleaner than expected, and the temples-well, I had no preconceived notions about them-they're temples and they're ancient and there are a lot of them. And most of all I enjoyed horseback racing over the sands of Egypt's Western Desert, Sahara.
